Context is everything

In today’s world, how do we create an environment to help us achieve our personal and professional goals?

Original artwork is a key element for developing a creative space. Art is no longer just a symbol of status, but a tool to inspire. By having artwork in our midst, we’re able to see the world through the artist’s eyes. This fresh perspective can help us approach life and its challenges in a more creative way, inspiring new innovations.

As an artist, one of my main goals is that each time a person walks by one of my Joomchi pieces, there will be something new to catch the eye. Whether it’s the way a beam of light falls on a certain fold in the hanji paper or how the shadows move and morph throughout the day, there’s a renewed interest. Art can be the inspiration for us to feel a similar sense of renewal as we solve problems in our daily lives.

I have a new app where I can drop artwork into a photo to show how the piece will look on a particular wall. It scales the artwork to provide an accurate depiction of an actual installation.

Feel free to contact me if you or a client are curious what one of my hanji artworks on the Studio 126 website would look like in the context of a particular home or office. I’d be happy to work with you in providing a virtual preview of the installed piece.

For more examples of my work in situ, please visit the Shown In Place section of this site.

I look forward to hearing from you.
